Client Relationship Manager & Consultant

 

Norwel Computer Services Limited are looking for a highly motivated individual to join their Client Services Team in the role of Client Relationship Manager & Consultant for our UK based Private Practice legal clients.

The ideal candidate should have considerable experience of working in a busy law firm environment, liaising with senior managers and have a good working knowledge of the systems, business processes and regulatory requirements. 

Experience of working in a Legal Systems software company would also be very advantageous.

This is a full time role which is based predominantly at our Cheadle office, however because of the client facing nature of this role travelling to client sites throughout the UK will be a regular requirement.

The Role

The position will involve a diverse set of responsibilities in a very fast paced and deadline driven environment. The primary responsibility is to ensure an excellent and consistent level of client service is delivered to our law firm clients. This will involve managing client relationships, as well as supporting them with their Practice Management System projects and business requirements. Consultancy will be a large part of the role and this will cover both our products and services, as well as business processes and suggestions for best practice, drawing on your previous experience from working with a private practice law firm.

The Responsibilities

  • To be the product specialist for the Norwel Contact Management (CRM) Product with responsibility for:
    • Managing enhancement/modification requests
    • Testing/Quality Assurance
    • Delivering Training & Demonstrations
    • Documentation
    • Software implementation, Consultancy & Project Management
  • To assist the PMS and Case Management product managers to continually improve the levels of client service for our private practice clients by
    • Managing and maintaining the relationships with a number of named client contacts
      • Including Account Management meetings at designated client sites
      • Regular review of your designated clients helpdesk calls and follow up
    • Maintaining the Private Practice client forum on our website with current topics and information and Linked In Group
    • Contributing to and coordinating User Discussions, Newsletters and User Groups for Private Practice Clients.
      • Creating and delivering information about our products and services through e-mail campaigns and on the website.
  • To work as part of the Client Services Team, on both Case and Practice Management related projects by coordinating and managing projects from pre implementation to post implementation review, ensuring all relevant parties are kept up to date throughout the process.
  • To assist the PMS Product Manager in continually enhancing and developing the suite of Practice Management products, working with clients and developers to ensure the products are as intuitive and efficient as possible

Skills Required

  • Excellent client facing skills, working with clients at all levels
  • Good General Systems Skills, knowledge of SQL advantageous
  • Excellent presentation and training skills
  • Strong experience of working with CRM & Legal Practice Management Systems
  • Knowledge of Legal Accounts business processes and systems
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Good documentation and online information skills for product manuals and demonstrations
  • Regulatory Knowledge including ideally an understanding of

  • Full UK driving license, as travel to client sites across the UK will be required.

The Job
To be considered for this position, you will be expected to have a good degree preferably in Computer Science or a related field and ideally have at least two years experience of Microsoft C#, ASP .NET and Microsoft SQL Server.

The Opportunity

Case and Matter Management Analyst

Involvement at all levels of each Case and Matter Management project cycle from initial instruction through to implementation, training and ongoing review / support, including:
Attendance at Client meetings to analyse their specific requirements.
Design of the solution and preparation of the agreed specification documentation.
Where a Case Management solution is preferred; creation of the solution using the Norwel development Toolkits.
 Where a Matter Management solution is preferred; configuration of the Norwel Prescient software.
Where formal development to the software is required; liaison with the Norwel Development Team and QA of the resulting enhancements.
Preparation of Release/Training Documentation
Where required, training of end users.
2nd stage Helpdesk support
Account Management – ongoing communication with the Client including site visits, demonstration of new developments, promotion of horizontal sales.


As this role covers both Client-facing tasks, as well as the development and implementation of the solution, a range of abilities are required.

Previous experience of Norwel software is an advantage but we would welcome applicants experienced in other applications: Visualfiles, Eclipse, Iken, DPS, etc…

Knowledge of other programming tools and languages (VB Scripting, HTML, SQL etc) and/or experience in CRM/Marketing software would be desirable, but not essential.

Experience of work within a Legal environment is desirable, but also not essential.


On a personal level, we are a looking for the following attributes:
Strong customer focus, good communication skills, analytical, conscientious, enthusiastic, creative, good team player, proactive, able to work alone with minimal supervision.

The position is based at Norwel’s office in Cheadle but frequent travel across the U.K. will be required. The applicant would therefore require a full driving licence.
