Norwel Celebrates latest LA User Group Meeting
Norwel hosted a Local Authority User Group Meeting on Wednesday 4th March at Leeds City Council offices. The event gave Norwel users the chance to express their appreciation and raise any issues concerning Norwel’s product and services. Many clients attended the meeting including section heads, system administrators and super users. Local authorities that were at the meeting include Borough of Poole, Borough of Telford & Wrekin, Lancashire County Council, London Borough of Camden, London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, Salford City Council, Somerset County Council and Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council.
The meeting consisted of presentations by Norwel staff members including Local Authority Account Manager Caroline Facey and the Application Support and Training Manager Nick Brooks. Local authorities also joined in on the fun including Somerset County Council’s Lucy Wilkins who demonstrated Norwel’s Bundling application and Clare Millington of Leeds who discussed the importance of having good practice in place and Gill Marshall who demonstrated how the system had been adapted to capture information for reporting. Clients were also given the chance to join in a private discussion session where they were given the freedom to discuss Norwel products and services without Norwel staff being present.
“It is great to see how other users of Norwel are getting on within their departments and to know that you are not on your own with a lot of things. It is also amazing to see that there is even more that the system can offer after Tim Walker (Case Management Support) and James Spencer (Case Management Product Manager) presentations.” Sian Cooper, (Telford & Wrekin Council)
“The trip was well worth it. I found it very useful to meet other Local Authorities Norwel users and to see the rest of the Norwel gang of course.” Marcia French, (London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham)
Chairman Required
Norwel would like more user input in the planning process when organising user group meetings therefore we would like a chairman for the meetings. If you would like to nominate someone or volunteer to become a chairman for the local authority user group please contact Caroline Facey.
