Billing

The Billing module gives your accounts department full control of all bills raised by fee earners and partners. Review and amend is permitted prior to ledger updates taking place.

Procedures can be set up to allow matters to be picked up automatically for billing once certain criteria have been met. These might include, for example, the value of unbilled time and/or disbursements.

Additional facilities include manual posting of standard, composite and split bills and credit notes. Billing integrates with MS Word to produce top copy bills at the click of a mouse.

Features inculde;

  • Partners are prompted to authorise waiting draft bills.
  • Security is provided to ensure that billing actions are taken by authorised personnel only.
  • Draft bills are presented on screen with a friendly costing tool to help with amendments.
  • If required, bills are forwarded to an authorising partner for approval before engrossing and ledger updates take place.
  • Engrossing, update and bill printing completes the process ensuring that the only piece of paper produced is the bill itself.
